This Superformance GT40 Mk I was acquired by the seller from New England Cobra of Clinton, Connecticut, in 2022 and subsequently completed by Airpark Motorsports of Scottsdale, Arizona, with installation of a 427SR Roush V8 and ZF five-speed manual transaxle. The car features fiberglass bodywork finished in a light blue and orange Gulf-style livery. It rides on 15″ BRM-style wheels accompanied by adjustable coilovers and disc brakes at all four corners. Inside, fixed-back seats with Willans harnesses are accompanied by a Moto-Lita steering wheel and Smiths gauges. The engine is equipped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a dual-plane intake manifold, and a dual exhaust system with “bundle of snakes” headers. Now showing 815 miles, this GT40 Mk I replica is offered with a Certificate of Authenticity and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The fiberglass body is finished in a Gulf-style livery with light blue paint accented by an orange front bumper and body-length stripe along with white #6 roundels and various decals. The car features a driver-side Gurney bubble, side air intakes, and a Kamm tail. Covered headlights are paired with fog lights up front, and further details include bullet-style side mirrors, dual exposed fuel filler caps, and plexiglass side windows with pop-out vents.
The 15″ BRM-style wheels feature orange centers, polished rims, and three-eared knock-off hubs secured by safety wire. The wheels are mounted with 225/50 front and 295/50 rear Avon tires. The suspension features adjustable coilovers, while braking is handled by four-pot calipers over slotted and ventilated rotors at all four corners.
The left-hand-drive cabin features fixed-back racing seats trimmed in black leather upholstery with ventilation grommets, and matching upholstery extends to the center console and door-panel side pockets. The seats are accompanied by Willans harnesses, and the floors are lined with Dynamat sound deadening. A leak from the air conditioning system was repaired in December 2023, though the seller notes that the system does not blow cold.
The Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including an 8k-rpm tachometer flanked by auxiliary gauges as well as a 200-mph speedometer to the right. The five-digit odometer shows 815 miles, all of which were added under current ownership.
The 427SR Roush V8 features a Holley four-barrel carburetor atop a dual-plane intake manifold. The exhaust system features “bundle of snakes” headers flowing into dual mufflers exiting through the rear bodywork. The engine oil was last changed in December 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle.
The Certificate of Authenticity from Superformance is shown above and lists original specifications as well as a factory date of July 8, 2021.

Superformance chassis number GT40P2421 is shown above along with the State of Arizona Assigned Identification Number AZ389986. The latter is listed as the VIN on the Arizona title, which lists the car as a 1969 RCON GT40.
