This 1952 MG TD is powered by a 1,250cc XPAG inline-four that is paired with a five-speed manual transmission sourced from Moss Motors. Finished in red over black vinyl, the car features a tan soft top, 15″ steel wheels, hubcaps, a luggage rack, driving lights, side mirrors, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, lap belts, dual SU carburetors, and an auxiliary electric cooling fan. The vehicle was refurbished under prior ownership and was purchased by the seller in October 2023. This TD is now offered with an owner’s manual, spare parts, MG memorabilia, a tonneau cover, a car cover, a tool kit, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted in red under previous ownership, and the tan folding soft top has been replaced. Side mirrors are attached to both sides of the folding windshield as well as both front fenders. Other equipment includes driving lights, a badge bar, a louvered hood, wind wings, running boards, a luggage rack, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The windshield-wiper motor does not work.
Silver-finished 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with 155/80 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A spare wheel and tire are affixed to the rear. Braking is handled by drums at each corner.
The cabin houses a split bench seat trimmed in black vinyl. Appointments include a wood dashboard, a tinted sun visor, lap belts, a passenger-side grab handle, door-panel map pockets, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, black carpeting, and black floor mats with red accents.
The Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel is attached to an adjustable column and frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 105-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock as well as auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 26k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 54 horsepower. An auxiliary electric cooling fan has been added.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission that was supplied by Moss Motors and installed prior to the seller’s acquisition of the vehicle.
Two wicker chests, an MG jacket and belt, a tool kit, MG literature, model cars, various spare parts, a cricket bat, and a car cover are among the items that will accompany the roadster.
